In the fall of 2015 a group of EPCOR Third-Party Sender members came together to form the EPCOR Third-Party Sender Forum. The Forum is a working group committed to compliance and industry best practices and to advancing mutually productive relationships with their financial institution partners. In an effort to demonstrate the Forum’s goals and commitments to the payments industry, they have developed a set of Guiding Principles. The Third-Party Sender Guiding Principles are a combination of ethical guidelines and industry best practices that each of the Forum members have committed to uphold. The Guiding Principles also provide a framework for the Forum’s goals and objectives going forward.
Contained within the Guiding Principles are ten (10) tenets that Forum members have pledged to abide by. Key among the tenets is the dedication of the members to uphold concepts of effective and reliable financial networks and the commitment to processing with integrity and compliance with all laws, rules and regulations. The tenets also state that the members will manage their activities with honor and integrity and will not engage in practices that may be deemed misleading or deceptive. In addition, the tenets acknowledge that the Forum members hold a public trust not only with the funds that they manage but also with the confidential personal information that they obtain. The members therefore pledge to protect such funds and information at all times.
As the Forum moves forward with their activities they will look to the EPCOR Third-Party Sender Guiding Principles to ensure the members continue to participate in successful relationships with their financial institution partners and within the payments industry.
