In today's digital culture, each of us has greater choices about how we access nearly everything.
- We can download one song instead of buying an entire album.
- We can watch just segments of a program instead of sitting through the entire thing on broadcast TV. (Love this!)
- We can take a single, online course instead of enrolling at a university and following a strict, prescribed learning path.
Our freedom of choice is truly unprecedented if you really think about it!
By most measures, this is a good thing.
I admit---I love a good webinar or online learning event and appreciate the control it gives me over my time. But, I also like the idea of a "real-world meeting that happens in real time."
Guess I am old-school in some ways. :)
I find that meeting with real people at our annual conference comes as a relief from the increasingly random, (no offense, Twitter!) , pay-as-you-go flow of the world.
As the Director of both EPCOR Payments Conferences , I believe very much in the quality of what our staff and committee produce every Spring and Fall for our members and other interested parties.
And hundreds of people attend the conferences and return, year after year, not because they feel obligated to, but because they want to.
They find value in the experience and trust us with their precious time and resources.
IF you have not attended an EPCOR Payments Conference before, consider enrolling for our fall conference today. You won't regret it and will certainly learn something new and interesting---with a lot of other real people doing the same thing.
